The Susan R. Meisinger Fellowship for Graduate Study in HR is a premier source of funding for first-time master's degree students in Human Resources.  

The Fellowship is geared toward those who want to leverage significant past contributions affecting the human resource management field and who wish to continue contributing to HR in a significant way by earning a graduate degree in HR.

The Fellowship was first awarded in June 2009 at the SHRM Annual Conference & Exposition. Read more: Brockman Named Meisinger Fellowship Winner.

The Susan R. Meisinger Fellowship for Graduate Study in HR is designed to support master’s degree students who are either members of SHRM or certifed HR professionals through the HR Certification Institute. Sponsored jointly by SHRM, the SHRM Foundation and the HR Certification Institute, the Fellowship is geared toward those who want to leverage significant past contributions affecting the HR management field and who wish to continue contributing to the profession by earning a master’s degree in HR.

Adrielle Lewinski The 2011 winner is Adrielle Lewinski, PHR. She has a bachelor’s degree from Trine University, which was obtained through evening coursework while working full-time. She is currently pursuing her MBA, with a concentration in Human Resources, at Davenport University. Lewinski also volunteers as the college relations representative on the Board of Directors for the SHRM Michiana Chapter. A fellowship of up to $10,000 annually is granted to the winner. Additional fellowships may be awarded, depending on funding available, quantity and quality of applicants, and the discretion of SHRM. Each fellowship is renewable for one additional year for a total of two years of graduate study and up to $20,000 total for the fellowship.

The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) address eligibility and submission requirements. Doctoral students are not eligible for the Susan R. Meisinger Fellowship for Graduate Study in HR - this includes DBA and Ph.D. students. Download the application form. Application packages will not be returned to candidates.
