House Bill Would Reverse Supreme Court Decision
Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., introduced the Open Access to Courts Act of 2009 on Nov. 19, 2009. The legislation takes aim at a Supreme Court decision that raised pleading standards and, according to Nadler, has led to the premature dismissal of many civil rights cases.
